Frequently asked questions about tube laser cutting
Technical information for designing cuts, holes and complex geometries on metal components.
Request a technical assessmentWhich features can be produced by laser cutting tubes and profiles?
Tube laser cutting can produce cut-to-length parts, holes, slots, openings and complex contours directly on a tube or profile. Geometry is programmed from the customer drawing to achieve accurate edges and repeatable results.
Which tube sizes can RECA laser cut?
RECA technologies can process tubes from 8 mm to 102 mm in diameter and lengths up to 4,500 mm. Final feasibility also depends on section, wall thickness, material and required geometry.
Which materials can be laser cut?
RECA processes carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Cutting parameters and cycle preparation are defined according to alloy, wall thickness and the edge quality required by the project.
Can laser cutting be combined with other operations?
Yes. Cut components can continue through bending, end forming, stamping and welding. This makes it possible to manage a complete in-house production sequence and maintain consistency between the different operations.
What is required for a tube laser cutting quotation?
Please provide a 2D drawing or 3D model, material, tube section and thickness, quantities, tolerances and any required finishes. These details allow RECA to assess the cycle, lead time and complementary operations.
