Frequently asked questions about sheet metal working
Guidance on laser cutting, CNC bending, materials and custom component production.
Request a technical assessmentWhich sheet metal operations does RECA provide?
RECA performs laser cutting, drilling, slotting, bending and forming of sheet metal. The operations can be coordinated to manufacture individual parts, bent components and subassemblies ready for assembly.
Which machines are used for laser cutting and bending?
The department uses a Salvagnini L5 laser system for high-precision cutting and a Salvagnini B2 Syncro press brake. Together they support profiles, holes, bending sequences and accurate angle control.
Which sheet materials can RECA process?
RECA processes carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium sheet. Material, thickness, geometry and required finish are considered when defining the cutting parameters and bending sequence.
Can RECA manufacture both prototypes and series components?
Yes. The process can support a project from the first component through pre-series and repeat production. Initial verification of geometry and sequences helps stabilize the result before series production.
What is required for a sheet metal quotation?
Please provide a 2D drawing or 3D model, material, thickness, quantities, tolerances, bends and finishes. If the component must be welded or assembled, the overall assembly drawing is also useful.
